Services

    WATER & SEWER SERVICE

      The City of Bowling Green will be your provider for water and sewer service.  There is a deposit of $160.00  required for  all new water and sewer service.  Your account will be billed on a monthly basis.  Bills are mailed approximately the 25th of the month.  If you do not receive a bill by the 1st of each month, please call City Hall.

  Bills are DUE by the 10th of each month.  If payment is not received by the 10th, a 5% penalty will be applied to you bill.  If the account is not paid in full BEFORE the 21st of the same month, service will be disconnected.  In addition to the full balance due, thirty-five dollar ($35.00) penalty will be added to your account which must be paid BEFORE your service will be reconnected.

   Water           $8.00 flat fee + $6.69 per 1,000 gallons

    Sewer           $3.00 flat fee + $9.16 per 1,000 gallons

   Tax (water)     2%  

    WATER SERVICE FORM

   TRASH SERVICE 

  Residential trash service will be provided twice weekly by Dayne's Waste Disposal, Inc., Mexico, Mo.  Any       problems   or questions regarding your trash service should be directed to Dayne's @ 573-492-6195.  Trash service will  be billed on  your water bill at a current rate of $11.09 per month.  Commercial accounts and apartment occupants need to contact the trash company to establish service.

  Trash must be at curb side by 6:00 a.m. the morning of pick up.  You may have unlimited 32 gallon containers weighing
 less  than 75 pounds.  Drivers will not be responsible for trash bags which animals have opened and scattered.

Recycling pick up on the last Monday of the month is available at no additional charge.

   ELECTRICITY

  Electric service will be provided by Ameren UE.  Service can be obtained by calling 800-552-7583.

   GAS SERVICE

  Gas service will be provided by Atmos Energy.  Service can be obtained by calling 888-824-3434.

   TELEPHONE SERVICE

   Telephone service will be provided by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.  
   Service can be obtained by calling - 800-464-7928.  

    BURN POLICY   SECTION 235.035 : OPEN BURNING
  
    Open burning restrictions: No person may conduct, cause, permit or allow the disposal of litter, trade waste,     construction waste, salvage operation waste, demolition project waste or vegetation waste such as fallen leaves, grass clippings, branches and twigs by open burning within city limits. (Questions should be directed to the Fire Chief)
  
 COMPOST AREA
  Located just past the City Animal Shelter , 13759 Bs Hwy 54 W
   Yard waste may be dumped in this area (for more information call City hall 573-324-5451)
  Hours: Tuesday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm   Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00pm

  Municipal Court
 Municipal Court is held the last Monday of each month on the Second Floor of the Pike County Court House at 1:30 pm
